Care should feel controlled, intimate, and unmistakably premium. This is the routine Damballah and Brain get, and it takes less time than reading about it.

Wipe daily
Without fur, tear residue collects at the inner corner of the eye and oil builds under the chin and in the skin folds. One pass with a cleansing pad each day, after a meal, keeps both from setting. Eyes first, then chin, then the folds at the neck and armpits. Thirty seconds.

Bathe when the skin asks
Weekly baths strip the skin's own oils and it overproduces to compensate. Bathe when the skin feels tacky or looks dull, which for most hairless cats is every two to four weeks. Lukewarm water, a mild cat shampoo, and a bonnet over the ears so water stays out of the canal. Dry completely before they go anywhere cold.

Layer for the room
A hairless cat loses heat the moment the air drops below what a furred cat would notice. A fleece turtleneck or hoodie in a cool room is comfort, not costume. Take it off when the room warms. The rule is the room, not the season.

Claws touch skin
There's no fur between a hairless cat's claws and its own body, or yours. Trim every two weeks. Scissors with a light behind the claw show the quick so you stop short of it.
